I am currently a master’s student in the Animal Bioscience department in the Huyben Lab. Currently, my research focuses on aquaculture and fish nutrition, working with Rainbow Trout. My thesis is looking at “Interactions Between Humic Acid and Antimicrobials Oxytetracycline and Florfenicol in Diets for Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss): Implications on Systemic Drug Accumulation, Gut Microbiome Diversity, Nutrient Proximate Composition and Fillet Omega-3 Profile.” I completed my undergraduate degree here at Guelph, majoring in biological science with a minor in neuroscience, with my research experience focused on aquaculture and marine and freshwater biology. I have worked and volunteered lots at the Ontario Aquaculture Research Centre and hope to work there in the future, learning and gaining new skills in aquaculture research.
