Dr. Jaebeom Cha, a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher with Dr. Christine Baes in the Centre for Genetic Improvement of Livestock (CGIL), was born in Republic of Korea.
He completed his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Chungnam National University, followed by a master’s degree in Animal Breeding and Quantitative Genetics at the same university, and then earned his Ph.D. in Animal Breeding and Quantitative Genetics at Hankyong National University. Since 2013, he has been working as an research official at the National Institute of Animal Science (NIAS).
His current research interests include genetic evaluation of dairy cattle and optimal contribution selection for pigs."
